# Expert Hints:

01 -
  • Your friends will never guess how easily you pulled off this showstopper—just wait for the first crunchy, creamy bite.
  • Layering sweet and salty is an unbeatable combination that has rescued more than one lackluster summer potluck for me.
02 -
  • Once, I rushed the cooling and my gelatin layer seeped right through, making everything soggy—patience is key here.
  • Folding in the whipped topping gently saves the creamy middle layer from becoming runny, so resist overmixing.
03 -
  • Baking the pretzel layer just until you smell toasty nutsiness keeps it perfectly crisp even after chilling.
  • Sealing the cream cheese edge all around the pan prevents gelled strawberry surprises under the crust.
